My artistic sensibility has been influenced by street art and its unconventional approach. I have been drawn to the dynamics of street art because of the freedom the artists endure creating their work in the outside environment. I love how simple man-made objects such as sidewalks, trains, bridges, streetlights, and abandoned building walls become a canvas for artists to create on.
Anything from a tea can to a dead tree inspire my artwork. I use color and line to mimic textures and patterns found in nature such as veins in a leaf or ripples in water. My artwork illustrates rhythm and beats to compose positive vibrations and movement for the viewer. My goal is to inspire the uninspired. If we honor and conserve the natural world we live in, we can experience a great sense of peace and connection in our own lives. My creative process involves the experiences of being with nature and bringing those experiences to my artwork.
